Ospreys honored at the Ozzie’s

UNF Student-Athletes from all 17 sports united at the second annual Ozzie’s award show as awards were given out for their achievements on and off the court.
Dominica Cocuzza of UNF Softball brought home the hardware as she won two awards, Most Improved Female Athlete and Female Athlete of the Year after recording a .386 batting average and driving in 32 RBI’s.
The award for Male Athlete of the Year went to Senior Phillip Knowles of Men’s Golf as he earned five top 10 finishes in the tournaments this season and recorded 18 rounds under par.

Highest Individual GPA, Male: Emmanuel Lambright (Basketball) – 4.0

Best Team Performance: Men’s Golf (NCAA Tournament run)
Best Individual Female Performance: Sydney Shrader (Women’s Golf)
Best Individual Male Performance: Travis Trace (Men’s Golf)
UNF SAAC Spirit Award: Manny Velasquez (Men’s Track and Field)
Female Freshman of the Year: Liss Davalos (Women’s Golf)
Male Freshman of the Year: Dominik Barton (Men’s Tennis)
Newcomer of the Year: Jazz Bond (Women’s Basketball)
Female Scholar Athlete of the Year: Navia Penrod (Softball)
Male Scholar Athlete of the Year: JT Escobar (Men’s Basketball)
