The Swell:
Oct. 27
Ridin’ solo on a Thursday night? There’s no need when mtvU in conjunction with Osprey Productions bring Jason Derulo, Jay Sean, We the Kings and Chiddy Bang to the UNF Amphitheater at 4:30 p.m. The multi-genred show gives alternative rock-inspired hip-hop, pop punk and R&B splashed with Top 40 fans a chance to celebrate the end of October and college life. Knowledge of at least each act’s most-popular song should suffice.

If trash talk turns you on, make room in your busy Wednesday for Garbage on the Green. The UNF Environmental Center will put on the event to encourage positive environment-effected practices, such as recycling and littering. The event spans from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the UNF Student Union Osprey Plaza — nope, not on the Green.

Oct. 31
In a day devoted to sweets, learning about food may keep you conscious of what you’re consuming. The UNF Sociology Club will screen “Food, Inc.” for those who want to learn about America’s food industry. The Academy Award-nominated documentary starts at 7 p.m. in the UNF Student Union, room 3703.
