UNF will not renew volleyball coach’s contract

By Josh Brannock

UNF Athletic Director Lee Moon announced Nov. 29 the athletics department will not be renewing head volleyball coach Kevin Campbell’s contract for the 2012 season.
Campbell has been coaching the Ospreys for five years and coached the team to a 14-17 overall record and a 5-8 conference record this past season. The team reached the Atlantic Sun conference playoffs for the second straight season.
In her tenure, Campbell held a 48-104 overall record (23-51 in the A-Sun). This past season was the best overall for Campbell at UNF. In her first season in 2007, the team finished with a 4-26 record.
The 2012 team will not lose any players from the 2011 team but will hold six seniors, including Pridgeon, middle blocker Dagnija Medina and libero Nicole Baran.
Campbell could not be reached for comment, but the UNF Athletics Department acknowledged her office had been cleaned out and declined further comment.
