Dr. Judy Comeaux, a UNF assistant professor of nursing, was honored with this year’s Leader of Leaders award by the National Student Nurses Association. The award is given to a dean, faculty advisor, or state consultant who has shown exemplary commitment to both the NSNA and to his or her students. The award was given during the 62nd annual NSNA convention.

“Dr. Comeaux is a devoted mentor for UNF nursing students. She goes the extra mile to ensure students’ success and they admire her for her commitment,” said Dr. Lillian Loriz, UNF’s Nursing Flagship program chair. “We are very fortunate to have her as part of our faculty.”

The Leader of Leaders award was given during the 62nd annual NSNA convention. Dr. Comeaux has been involved with the association as an advisor for over 11 years. This is not the first time Comeaux has been awarded for her achievements. She also received the Great 100 Nurses Award Florida Class of 2013, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing Recognition for Service, Brooks Endowed Nursing Professorship, and Honorary Member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
