Affordable Colleges Foundation (ACF) ranked UNF the third best online nursing school in the country. It is the only Florida state university on the list.
ACF compiled a list of 47 schools across the country after analyzing 2,000 not-for-profit institutions using a team of data analysts and researchers. Only schools with the best curriculum options, student support services and affordability made the list.
“The schools on our list offer aspiring nursing majors the flexibility to balance work, school and personal commitments,” Dan Schuessler, ACF’s CEO and founder, said.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for nursing is faster than average from 2012 to 2022.
“When we embarked on the online RN-BSN [Registered Nurse-Bachelor of Science in Nursing] program, we wanted to make sure we maintained the same quality as our program on campus. We’re able to accomplish this by providing a comprehensive program that can be complete in 12 months, while maintaining the costs at a reasonable rate,” Director of the School of Nursing Dr. Li Loriz said.
UNF’s other awards for 2015 include Kiplinger’s Personal Finance’s Best Value Public College, ACF’s Best Online College and U.S News and World Report Best Online Programs and Best Online Graduate Education Program.
