The UNF Department of English, in collaboration with the City of Atlantic Beach Department of Parks and Recreation and the Church of the Good Shepherd, will present its sixth annual Shakespeare-in-the-Park next week.

“A shipwreck, separated identical twins, mistaken identities, drunken knights, singing and one pair of yellow stockings characterize the mad antics of Lady Olivia’s household as the characters fall in and out of love in the topsy-turvy world of Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night,’” according to the press release.

UNF students and members of the Jacksonville community, directed by UNF Associate Professor of English Pam Monteleone, will perform on April 7 and 8 at 8 p.m. on the Green.

The production will also take place at Johansen Park in Atlantic Beach on April 10 and 11, again at 8 p.m. Food from Backstreets Catering will be available for purchase at these performances beginning at 6 p.m.

On April 17 and 18 at 8 p.m., the cast will perform in Worsham Hall at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Riverside. The April 17 performance will be followed by a panel discussion.

All performances are free and open to the public. Both performances on the Green will take place if weather permits. A rain date is set for April 12 at 8 p.m.
