Don’t lose your mind over finals. Relax, breathe, and participate in free events.

The semester is almost over and summer is upon the student body. Whether that means summer classes, graduation or a long break, who knows. What is known is that the various agencies around campus have several events planned for Finals Week to help students relax and de-stress.

Here is a list of events happening the Thomas G. Carpenter Library has on its website:

  • PAWS Your Stress: Monday, April 23 from 12 to 2 p.m.
    • Stress-relieving dogs will be on the 1st floor of the library
  • Free Late-night Coffee and Snacks: Monday, April 23, Tuesday, April 24 and Wednesday, April 25 starting at 8 p.m.
    • Monday night snacks courtesy of UNF Alumni Association
    • Tuesday night snacks courtesy of  Student Government
    • Wednesday night snacks courtesy of the Wellness Dietitians and the UNF Bookstore
  • Zzz-Zone: April 20 to 27
    • Our sleeping area on the 3rd floor, complete with blankets and pillows
  • Coloring Station: April 20 to 27
    • Color your stress away on the 2nd floor

Every day during Finals Week, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., SG senators will be outside of the library for Finals Frenzy. They will be handing out water, granola bars, and pencils as students head to their exams.

On Monday, April 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Writing Center is hosting a Color Your Stress Away event. Students will be able to color, have snacks, play games, and watch movies.

Also on Monday, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., any student that goes to Starbucks will receive a free tall drink courtesy of Student Government.
