Intersession doldrums sweep campus this week

Now that summer classes are over and residential students are moved out, intersession hours will take effect across campus from Aug. 4 through Aug. 19.

The Student Wellness Complex will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Aug. 4 through 10. Saturday and Sunday, the Complex will be open from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. Aug. 11 through 14, the Student Wellness Complex will be closed, but it will open back up Aug. 15 through 17, from 3 p.m to 9 p.m.

Thomas G. Carpenter Library will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m, Monday through Friday, Aug. 6 through the 17. The library will resume normal seven-day hours on Aug. 20.

The University of North Florida Bookstore will be open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.

The Student Union building will remain open Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, the Game Room, Boathouse, and Student Union Outtakes will be closed.

Osprey Cliff, the Field House, and Eco Adventure will also be closed during intersession, but the Nature Trails will remain open.

UNF’s shuttle service, Osprey Connector, will not run until it resumes its normal operations on Thursday, Aug. 16 at 7 a.m.

While students’ options may be limited on campus, the dead zone that is intersession will be drawn to a close when first year residents begin moving in on Aug. 17.
