Man on the street: How students feel about skateboarders on campus

Brett Nweeia, Staff reporter

At the University of North Florida, there are many ways to get around campus in order to quickly get to classes. One popular way of arriving at your destination is skateboarding.

Many people dislike the rules that UNFPD has been enforcing on students who ride their skateboards. The rule enforced by UPD requires students to walk across sidewalks rather than ride their skateboards and bikes.

Students, however, say they have been getting fined and written for things they feel are not worthy of being fined.
