The McBroken

Erik Feliciano, Reporter

If you’ve ever been dying for ice cream from McDonalds, more likely than not, you would run into this common phrase: “We’re sorry but our machine isn’t working.” If those words bring sad feelings, then you might be in luck with this latest creation.

Twitter user rashiq reverse engineered the McDonalds API so that every minute a bot would place an order to every McDonalds in the USA to figure out whether or not their machine is broken. Rashiq dubbed this bot the McBroken.

For those worrying on if any ice cream gets wasted in the process, worry not as the bot simply queries whether or not a machine is broken as McDonalds as a whole keeps track on whether or not a machine is broken. No order is executed in the end.

So if you’ve been looking forward to some ice cream and are worried that you’ll get the classic heart wrenching answer, simply check out McBroken and all your ice cream wishes will be granted.
