Athletes support chapters of Boys and Girls club during National Student Athlete Day
In celebration of National Student Athlete Day April 4, UNF athletes treated children from Family Support Services of North Florida and the local chapter of the Boys and Girls Club to a fun-filled day of sports.
The kids enjoyed kickball, volleyball, basketball and carnival games with UNF athletes.
After lunch, sponsored by Chick-Fil-A, the kids cheered on the Ospreys creamed East Tennessee State University 15-3 in the first game of the double header.
“On behalf of family support services and the children and the families we serve, I want to thank all the UNF students and volunteers who took part in the day’s festivities,” said FSS Chief Executive Jim Adams. “Our kids had a blast.”
