There was an emergency Budget and Allocations Committee Meeting called to exhaust the remaining travel request budget. The National Society of Collegiate Scholars received $226, the remaining money in the budget, to attend a leadership conference in Houston, TX. The request was approved in a 6-0 vote.

 

Senate Highlights April 15

Changes made to schedule

In the upcoming Fall 2013 semester, Student Government senate meetings will happen every other Friday at 1 p.m.

Student Union receives funding for projects

The special request to fund various infrastructure and operational improvement projects that was put before last week’s Budget and Allocations meeting was introduced to the senate. The B&A Committee voted to take the money out of the Student Union Fund Balance instead of the Student Government Special Request budget.

The request for $70,582.14 to be taken out of the Student Union Fund Balance was approved in a 34-2 vote.

Judicial Branch Report

The Judicial Branch reported that Alex Goetz was reelected to a second term as chief justice and Ryan DeWitt would remain Associate Chief Justice until his summer graduation.

The following people were put to vote before senate to become members of the executive cabinet under Student Body President Carlo Fassi and Vice President Billy Namen.

Ryan Traher- Director of Communications

Alin Cepoi- Student Advocate

John Chwalisz- Osprey Productions Director

Zhani Thuzar- Osprey Productions Assistant Director

Nick Tillem- Associate Director of Student Life & Osprey Productions

Stormy Goodman- Graphics Programs Assistant of Osprey Production

Brett Weisman- Club Alliance Director

Ashley Charles- Club Alliance Director

Gabriel Mattern- Director of Graphic Design

Thomas Dobrowolski- Lend-a-Wing Pantry Director

All members of the executive cabinet were approved by senate in a unanimous 38-0 vote.
