Drag queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race are bringing their fun and talent back to UNF this week during Osprey Productions’ Sex Fest Drag Show ft. Manila Luzon.
Osprey Productions Event Coordinator Vivian Taylor said, apart from Luzon, the show will include local drag queens Adriana Butler, Rhiannon Owens, and LaTonga Manchez. Taylor said she chose them because they are fun crowd-favorites.
Manila was the RuPaul Drag Race Season Three 1st Runner Up, according to her website. And, she has since appeared on RuPaul’s Drag U, and RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race, according to the show’s Facebook page.
Freshman Nick Diaz, who has attended a drag show on campus before, said the queens were hands-on and it pushed him out of his comfort zone. But he enjoyed it and thought the experience was hilarious.
Taylor said the show has a fun club atmosphere with lots of lights and jokes.
The show starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday April 3rd in the UNF Ballrooms, Taylor said. The doors open at 6:30 and students get free entry with a UNF ID.
