The UNF Foundation had a record breaking year of giving, thanks to private support. The university received almost $31 million.

Private support includes planned gifts, donations, pledges, and grants. The donations came from alumni, foundations, corporations, state matches, individuals and others.

During the fiscal year of 2016-2017, a total of $30,892,337 was raised thanks to the UNF Foundation.

Thanks to the land on the Intercostal Waterway, which valued over nine-million dollars, the William C. Webb Coastal Research Station was created to benefit the Coastal Biology Flagship program in the College of Arts and Sciences

The distribution goes as follows:

  • COAS $11,208,277
  • MOCA $5,600,448
  • Academic Affairs $3,823,396
  • General University $2,786,875
  • BCH $1,89,800
  • CCB $1,329,650
  • Student Affairs $1,175,541
  • CCEC $1,162,437
  • COEHS $40,434
  • Athletics $702,779
  • One Jax $582,69

This money is a big deal to UNF. Earlier this year, UNF was among other public Florida universities who received no cut of the $245 million state funding, for the second year in row.
