The LGBT Resource Center and Campus Life held their annual dinner and show on June 26. The event opened its doors to new and returning students to ease their transition into college.

The evening showcased a pasta bar and featured performances by Willie Evans Jr. and GeeXella (pronounced jee-eh-luh), a queer local singer, rapper and activist, whose goal is to spread equality through her music.

But what took students by surprise was the pasta bar, which included salad, both vegetarian and meat lasagna, as well as red velvet and chocolate cake.

After GeeXella performed, students were invited to hit the dance floor and jam the night away to some of today’s hits.
