On Friday, July 13, Robert Bullard, a Distinguished Professor of Urban Planning and Environmental Policy at Texas Southern University, will lead a free Environmental Equity Seminar. Bullard will be discussing environmental racism, sustainable development, urban land use, climate justice and regional equity.

Bullard has published 18 books on various environmental justice topics and is reportedly known as the father of environmental justice for his formative works in the field. His work emphasizes the disproportionate effects of environmental catastrophes and consequences on minorities and the poor.

The Environmental Equity Seminar will take place at 10 a.m. at the Adam W. Herbert University Center, Bldg. 43, Rm. 1027.

The event is free.
