Department of Diversity Initiatives to hold a Campus Support Pop-Up following the Jacksonville Landing shooting

The topic of gun violence is ever-pervasive in modern discourse and reality, and with the recent shooting at the Jacksonville Landing on Aug. 26, the fear surrounding it has literally hit too close to home.

In light of this tragedy, the UNF Department of Diversity Initiatives will be hosting a Campus Support Pop-Up. According to the Facebook event, the Pop-Up is intended to be an “informal gathering to discuss feelings, thoughts or opinions as we reflect upon recent instances of gun violence in our home of Jacksonville,”

The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Bldg. 2, St. 1400.
