Live tweets from Black Friday: in case you missed it

Johnakeshia Thompson

Rain, sleet or snow, the biggest shopping holiday of the year still went on. Over the weekend, I went into the trenches to live-tweet about Black Friday at the St. Johns Town Center. This is usually the time when consumers get a bang for their buck, and retail stores were practically giving clothes away with their deals.

Originally, my plan was to pull an all-nighter. I wanted to be at the Town Center at 12 a.m. because that’s the time that some retail stores were kicking off their sales. But my plans changed when the rain discouraged me. I headed home with my alarm set for 5 a.m. Upon waking up to my alarm clock blasting in my ear and a thunderstorm, I changed my mind again. I quickly turned the alarm off and readjusted my pillow.

Hours later, I went to the town center with a belly full of Thanksgiving leftovers and an eye out for deals. If you missed my live tweets, you can catch up on my reporting below.
