Homecoming: Nest Fest comes to UNF

Starting Feb. 15, the University of North Florida will host Homecoming: Nest Fest, with open invitations and special offers for alumni until Feb. 23. Alongside a welcome back for alumni, Homecoming offers multiple events for all visitors.

Friday, Feb. 15 starts Nest Fest with the Homecoming Comedy Show starring Jay Pharaoh and Nasim Pedrad. Sunday offers Women’s Tennis, Softball, and Baseball games from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday brings Inflatables for Fun and the Mr. and Ms. UNF event, while Tuesday offers Swoopin’ Selfies at Lend-A-Wing and the Lip Sync show. Wednesday brings a $5 Day at the Osprey Café and UNF’s Black Alumni Weekend Kickoff alongside Market Days and Men’s Basketball.

Thursday sets the weekend up with the 1972 Emeriti and Friends Luncheon and Showcase for alumni, faculty and staff in retirement years, with an Alumni Recognition Dinner and Award Ceremony as well as the Night of Fun carnival. Friday begins the fun in earnest with David Szymanski’s official inauguration as UNF’s sixth president, Baseball vs Fordham University, and the Blue and Gray Bash offering of everything across Jacksonville. Saturday closes the week off with the Swoop the Loop 5K and Fun Run, Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, Baseball and Women’s Basketball, the Homecoming Village Party in the Plaza, Golf Cart Parade, Men’s Basketball vs Liberty, and the Homecoming Finale.

Osprey Productions is opening the doors for students to come together and truly enjoy their time at UNF.
