Marking the dawn of a new day for UNF’s publicity, Eric Bruder was announced as the new Vice President of Marketing and Communications.

Over the last few years, Bruder has proved himself as a veteran in the field. He’s spearheaded marketing strategies for Kraft, Unilever, and Hershey. While he was Vice President and General Manager of Global Innovation at Hershey, he identified over $1 billion in growth opportunities for the company.

Most recently, Bruder worked for the educational sector with Indiana University. While he was chief marketing officer at IU, university applications rose by 20 percent and freshman enrollment increased by 6 percent. He also partnered with the IU Foundation to exceed a 2020 Bicentennial Campaign goal of $2.5 billion.

“It’s my honor to join the wonderful, passionate and committed University of North Florida community as the vice president for Marketing and Communications,” Bruder said.

“UNF is an exceptional academic and research institution with a great deal of momentum. I look forward to working with my colleagues across the University to communicate the compelling UNF story and continue building its strong reputation.”

Bruder will be filling a role as UNF’s spokesperson and will implement strategies to increase UNF’s brand awareness. He will also be the chief public information officer for the Crisis Management Team and oversee UNF’s public relations and marketing staff.

Bruder will swoop into UNF on June 17.
