Nothin’ but static: SG tunes out Spinnaker broadcast equipment request

In a budget committee meeting last Thursday, SG refused to even vote on the approval of $38,000 for the one-time cost of acquiring the required LPFM equipment. The issue was on the agenda. Spinnaker leaders and its advisor spoke before the committee. But no one on the committee said anything.

Accepting misconceptions and negative stigmas about the mental illness will not heal the hurt--something that is very real and troubles our peers. Does anybody care that there hasn’t been an SG election this year?

Elections were supposed to take take place the week of March 3, but an election requires candidates, competition, and interest - all of which were lacking. The SG president also ran unopposed this year. This makes the second year in a row without a presidential election. Last year, a candidate competing for the presidency was disqualified for not filling out the paperwork correctly.
