Although the Ospreys were knocked out of the A-Sun Championship, they closed the season with broken records and a 200th UNF win for Head Coach Marcie Hickey.
The Ospreys defeated the Rattlers 8-1 Feb. 17 at the UNF Softball Complex boosting the team to an 8-2 record for the season. The charge was led by Katie Mandigo with three runs batted in that night.
The UNF softball team lost for the first time this season in game three of the home tournament to Virginia Tech, 4-7. They also lost game four to Jacksonville State University, 5-6.
The UNF Softball team went 5-0 at the Troy Invitational in Troy, Ala. UNF’s Stacy McClelland stood out enough for her to win the A-Sun Player of the Week award.
