Projects Continue Across Campus

hile construction continues into the spring semester, students, faculty and staff can notice marked progress at the Education Building, Student Union and Osprey Fountains. There is also work being completed in UNF Hall, which will be the new home of One Stop, the Enrollment and Cashier’s Office. All the projects are well underway and on schedule.

College of Education and Human Services 

Completed: 90-92 percent

Opening date: March 15
Budget: $22 million, under budget and ahead of schedule
NEW FEATURE: The Disability Research Center is a new wing but has not been constructed yet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Student Union

Completed: 90-92 percent
Opening date: May 15
Budget: $50 million, in budget and on schedule
NEW FEATURE: The amphitheater, which will open with the Student Union. The budget is $1.5 million.

 

Parking Garages

Renovations on Garages 38, 34
Completed: 75 percent
Opening date: May 2009
Budget: $1.6 million, in budget and on schedule

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Osprey Fountains

Completed: 80 percent
Opening date: Last week of July 2009
Budget: $80 million, in budget and on schedule

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

UNF Hall

Completed: Phases 1-2: Designing and building space for Enrollment Services, One Stop Shop and the Cashier’s Office.
To Be Completed: Phase 3: Information Technology is set to move in, as well as UNF’s vice presidents’ offices
Phase 4: Renovate the corridors on both floors and change carpet and paint.
Opening date: August 2009
Budget: $6 million, under budget and ahead of schedule
