UNF fraternity Delta Upsilon collected more than $200 in donations for cancer awareness Feb. 19 during their second annual shave-a-thon.
Between the donations from the shave-a-thon, a $500 dollar anonymous donation and the tabling event scheduled for next week, the fraternity is expected to oupace last year’s $1,000 in contributions, Vice President Zach Thomas said.
“We started this event last year to pay homage to our brothers with cancer,” he said.
The event next week is to collect donations and raise awareness for cancer patients, and will be located at the quad, Thomas said.
He also said all of the fraternity brothers will be shaving their heads.
