UPDATE: Crash victim misidentified as UNF student

JACKSONVILLE, Fla — Cullen Jordan Johnson, 21, who died in a car accident on June 4, was mistakenly identified as a UNF student by the office of the University Registrar. Believing that information as accurate, The Spinnaker posted it here. We regret the error.

UNF sent an email of correction to The Spinnaker saying a student with a similar name attends UNF but not Johnson.

Johnson lived in Ponte Vedra Beach and according to an obituary in the Florida Times-Union was about to register for classes at the Florida State College at Jacksonville.

The driver of the car, 23, was also killed and another was seriously hurt when the car crashed into trees on Butler Boulevard near the intersection of Interstate 295.
