[doptg id=”64″]A car accident involving three vehicles occurred on Kernan Boulevard around 10:30 a.m. today. One black car fled the scene while the other two collided, causing one of the vehicles to flip onto the sidewalk in front of UNF Alumni Hall.
Scott Ramos, FSCJ freshman, said he was driving southbound on Kernan Blvd in a silver Dodge Avenger when a black car hit him from behind, causing Ramos to swerve and hit the rear end of a Silver Lexus RX350 SUV in front of him. Ramos flipped multiple times and the Lexus was pushed onto the sidewalk where both vehicles came to a stop.
Sandy Hrubiec, the driver of the Lexus RX350, said she was hit from behind and did not see Ramos or the black car that fled the scene.
Only minor injuries were reported. Ramos sustained a scrape to his elbow while Hrubiec sustained no injuries.
