Dr. Homer Bates, accounting and finance professor emeritus, died on Wednesday evening, April 8.

Bates, who dedicated over 28 years to UNF, worked alongside his wife, Dr. Judy Perkin, professor of nutrition and dietetics.

There will be a celebration of life for Bates at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 212 N. Church St., Starke, Fla. at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 12 for all who wish to attend.
