While Hurricane Irma continues to batter South Florida, tornados have been popping up statewide.
All of Jacksonville is now under a tornado watch until midnight. A tornado watch means that conditions are perfect for a tornado, but no tornados have been sighted yet. To know when we do go under a Tornado Warning, follow us at @UNFSpinnaker on Twitter.
Hurricane Irma has dropped to a Category 3 and the strongest winds are expected to hit Marco Island and the Naples area within the next couple of hours, according to the latest update from the National Hurricane Center.
Students on campus have now been evacuated from their dorms, and any student left on campus is now in the Osprey Fountains.
