A UNF student just notified the University Police Department of a crime on campus. According to the student, he was walking in the UNF athletic complex toward Lot 18 with another male student and a female student on Sunday night (October 16, 2011) when they were approached by three males. The student tells the UPD the three males, two blacks and one white, were all wearing black hoodie sweatshirts and carrying kitchen knives. The student told police they were robbed of cellphones and a backpack. It is unclear why the student waited more than 24 hours to notify police.
