Q: Has college been worth it?
A: Yes, I feel like it definitely has. You can meet a lot of people here and explore your different interests so I’m really happy that I came to school here.

Q: Have you struggled to put yourself through college?
A: It’s definitely hard. Tuition can really be a setback, but I have a job and I volunteer in my spare time. I’m volunteering at the LGBT Center so you really find ways to get references and get yourself out there so you’re able to pay back that money.

Q: How many hours a week do you have to work to keep up all your expenses?
A: I only work 20 hours a week… it adds up but it’s definitely still pretty tough.

Q: But still worth it?
A: Yeah.

Q: What’s your best memory here at UNF?
A: I like going to Market Days. That’s one of my favorite things. You see lots of cool crafts and stuff going on.

Q: What’s the coolest thing you’ve seen at Market Days?
A: People are always making their own jewelry like bows and stuff so I always stock up on little indie artists.

Q: Do you have a passion for those indie artists?
A: I really like seeing what people can make with their own hands.

Q: Do you do anything on your own?
A: No, unfortunately, I’m not very artistically skilled.

Q: Is there a most embarrassing moment at UNF?
A: Not yet, luckily, I don’t think I’ve done anything too embarrassing. I’m a little nervous about this.

Q: Toughest moment at UNF?
A: Keeping your grades up is definitely the hardest thing here. Biology is pretty hard. But other than the hard tests, it’s not too difficult. It’s pretty easy to meet people and do social things. It’s usually the academics that make things tough.

Q: What’s something that you like to do that wouldn’t be your typical pastime?
A: Can’t say it’s not super weird but I really do just like sitting outside here and reading. It’s always really nice and we have a nice campus. Taking time and just sitting by myself might be a little weird but I definitely like doing that.

Q: What are you reading right now?
A: I’m reading **I am a Malala** which is this memoir of this Pakistani girl who got shot by the Taliban so that’s really interesting.
