A student was riding a bicycle across UNF Drive from the Wellness Center at approximately 2:30 p.m. when she was struck by a Honda.
Fire and Rescue arrived and examined her. The victim sustained minor injuries to the head and refused to be transported.
The driver was charged with careless driving and issued a uniform traffic citation for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
