1,900 athletes from across the eastern half of the U.S. will converge at Hodges Stadium to vie for a shot at the national championship.
The NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Track and Field Championship East Preliminary competition will take place from May 29-31 at Hodges Stadium.
Nutrition and Dietetics Junior Elle Baker, the only UNF athlete competing at the tournament, will run the 3,000 meter steeplechase.
UNF Track and Field Coach Jeff Pigg said this tournament features the top 48 competitors in each event, and only the top 12 will move on to the National Championship at the University of Oregon in June.
The section of North Entrance Road between Lot 18 and the Stadium will be closed from May 27-June 3.
Lot 18 and 53 are still open for anyone with a parking permit to use.
Garage 38 will provide additional parking for attendees on the second, third, and fourth floors. It is still open for university use.
Parking Lot 5 will be closed from May 28-June 1.
Both Osprey shuttle stops at Lot 18 will be temporarily closed from May 27-June 3. A temporary shuttle stop will be at the north entrance of Lot 18.
Daily parking permits from Mon-Fri will still cost $3.
General admission for the event is $15 for one day and $30 for three. Tickets for college students with an ID and children 17 years old and younger at $10 for one day and $25 for three. Children two years and younger get in free.
General admission tickets are on sale at the gate and online at unfospreys.com. The money will go to Parking Services.
UNF will also host this tournament in 2015 and 2016.
