Special Event – Lend-A-Wing pantry presents the “Benefits of Kale” workshops

WHAT: Do you eat kale? Chances are you’ve heard about how someone who has turned these forest green leaves into chips, juice and other yummy snacks. The Ogier Garden currently grows kale and this workshop aims to highlight its nutritional benefits.

Special Event  – Candlelight vigil remembering Paris Nov. 13, 2015

WHAT: Candlelight vigil honoring the lives lost in the terrorist attack on Paris over the weekend.

Special Event – An open talk on suicide: “We’ll See You Tomorrow”

SPONSOR: Counseling Center

WHEN: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

WHERE: Science and Engineering – Building 50, room 1102

WHAT: Representatives from the campus community will join together for an “open and frank” discussion about suicide in an effort to raise awareness. Director of the Counseling Center Dr. Andrew King will be the Master of Ceremony.

Movie – OP and Campus Life present Trainwreck

SHOWTIMES: 7:00 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.

WHERE: Student Union Auditorium – Building 58W

WHAT: Amy Schumer and Bill Hader star and fall for each other in Universal’s Trainwreck. It’s a classic Hollywood romantic comedy and Lebron James is in the film, too. You and your guests can watch the film, eat free popcorn and pizza at the Student Union Auditorium. (Read our review)

Campus Life – Transgender Day of Remembrance

WHERE: Osprey Plaza

WHAT: The LGBT Resource Center invite students and their guests to a candlelight vigil to reflect on those killed because of anti-transgender violence. Hot cocoa at the Center’s office will follow the event.
