UPDATE — 5/2/16 @ 12:50 p.m.

MyWings is back up and running. According to Help Desk Technician Nyjah Melius, the myWings server is currently housed at the University of South Florida in Tampa. After restarting the server several times, the problem is was resolved and students and professors can now access their accounts again.

MyWings is experiencing an unexpected error, leaving students and professors unable to access their accounts.

According to Pooja Thakkar, an ITS Help Desk Technician, the problem with myWings started in the morning and was not a scheduled interruption.

“It’s an unexpected error,” Thakkar said. “System engineering is trying to solve it.”

Students who need to access their email or Blackboard can do so through a direct link on the myWings login page. However, those looking to check their grades will have to wait, as professors are unable to post them at this time.

“It does affect [professors] because myWings is down so they are not able to submit grades,” Thakkar said.

Final grades for the semester are scheduled to post May 6.

Thakkar recommends that students wait for the problem to be resolved, and to continue checking myWings. Students with questions can call the ITS Help Desk at (904) 620-HELP.

Spinnaker will update as more information becomes available.
