If you missed us at Market Day, bring donations by the Spinnaker office before Nov. 21.

Spinnaker Media collected donations of nonperishable items at Market Day with Lend-A-Wing Pantry Nov. 16.

With Thanksgiving around the corner, the need for donations increases even more for the on-campus pantry.

Spinnaker will continue to collect donations through Nov. 21 at the Spinnaker office in the Student Union East, room 2200. Students can drop cans off on weekdays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Connor Dawedeit started volunteering with Lend-a-Wing this semester. He sees this new  partnership as way to bring more awareness to the pantry to increase donations.

“We are always looking for more because certain things people like go pretty fast and we are here to serve the students,” said Dawedeit, a nutrition and dietetics post-baccalaureate.

Bringing awareness to the pantry is the ultimate goal for Spinnaker Media.

“It’s important that Spinnaker is doing this with Lend-A-Wing because it shows that Spinnaker really truly serves the UNF community in every facet,” Shannon Burris, Spinnaker Radio General Manager said.

Students will be entered in a drawing for a $25 Chipotle gift card after turning in donations to the office.

Lend-A-Wing Pantry runs entirely on donations, accepting them throughout the year for students in need.
