Sierra Shepherd lead the Ospreys to a win against the College of Charleston with a game-high of 16 points and seven assists. This is North Florida’s first road victory of the season.
UNF(5-3) won the game with a comfortable 60-47 over College of Charleston (2-4), and lead the entire game. This win shows steady improvement from last season’s non-conference record of 4-12.
The Cougars had one player with a double-double, Tanisha Brown, but her efforts alone were not enough.
The Ospreys had two players, Jaiveonna Norris and Claire Ioannidis, who scored in double-digits.
Norris had 10 points and went 100 percent from the three point line. Ioannidis kept her streak alive netting 11 points, making this the senior’s eighth straight game with double-digit scoring.
Simone Brown also helped fuel the Ospreys win with eight points and eight rebounds.
Next up, North Florida will travel to N.C. State on Dec. 4, tipoff is at 2:30 p.m.
