What’s included in this weekend’s tax-free holiday
August 4, 2017
With back to school time right around the corner, the 2017 Back to School Sales Tax Holiday starts this Friday, Aug. 4 through Sunday, Aug. 6.
Students can buy many items during the tax holiday without having to pay the extra seven cents on the dollar.
Clothes, shoes and accessories that are $60 or less are included in the tax exemption. This year, personal computers and some accessories that are $750 or less can also be brought tax free, with potential savings of over $50. School supplies under $15 are also included.
Unfortunately, books are still taxable this weekend. The holiday ends Aug. 6 at 11:59 p.m.
