Chris Davenport signs a pro contract with an Italian team

Chris Davenport signed with a professional Italian basketball team.

Former UNF basketball player Chris Davenport signed his first professional contract to play with Italian team, NPC Rieti.

The western division team of Italy’s Serie-A2, finished with a 13-17 record, during the 2016-2017 season.

As an Osprey, Davenport finished with over 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 300 assists, and 100 blocks for his career. He is the only UNF player to complete this feast for the program.

Davenport was a crucial piece of UNF’s March Madness run in the 2014-2015 season. He was also a defensive presence during the back-to-back runs to the ASUN championships.

The six-foot-eight inch forward started in 109 games of the 128 played in his collegiate career.

Davenport is the third UNF basketball player to sign to a professional team this summer.
