Celebrating Halloween on UNF campus

This year Halloween is on a Tuesday, which it might not be the best day for everyone. This means that the Halloween spirit might be lowered due to different obligations. However, to boost your Halloween spirit, you can attend the different events that are taking place on campus.

Pumpkin Carving Contest

UNF Dining Services is hosting a pumpkin carving competition on Oct. 30 at 5:30 p.m. It will take place in the Osprey Café and students can use a meal swipe or pay $9.50 to enter the contest. The pumpkins will be provided by Dining Services and students are only required to bring a good Halloween spirit.

Tommy G’s Haunted Open House

The Thomas G. Carpenter library will be hosting a haunted open house. Student will be able to “trick or treat” at the library from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students will also be able to learn about the different services the library has while enjoying free treats and drinks.

The Spookiest Halloween Social

Asian Students in Alliance will be hosting a Halloween social in collaboration with the Vietnamese Student Association and the Filipino Student Association. The social will take place on Oct. 31 in the Student Union, room 3703A from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Students are encouraged to wear their best costumes.

 

Twisted Tuesday featuring Halloween Crafts

Campus Life will be hosting a Halloween Twisted Tuesday on Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. in Osprey Plaza. Students will able to create their own Halloween slime.
