Valentine events on and around UNF campus

Several Valentine’s Day events are taking place on and around the UNF campus.

You may have the flowers, you may have the chocolates, but do you have a date planned for Valentine’s Day tomorrow? No? We’ve got your back. Here’s a list of what’s going on around UNF and Jacksonville for you and that special someone.

Events at UNF:

There will be a Candlelight Dinner from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Feb. 14 in the Osprey Cafe. The event will feature live music and chocolate covered strawberries. You will have to RSVP a time at [email protected].

Market Day on Wednesday will be Valentine’s Day themed. The theme is called “Sweet Valentine, To: Ospreys, Love: Market Days.” It’s from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a photo booth and live alpacas. Students can also build their own Valentine’s cards.

Around Jacksonville:

Myth Nightclub is hosting a Valentine’s Masquerade Latin Party from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Feb. 14. Admission is $13. There will be a dance lesson and a masquerade costume contest.

Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant has a special Valentine’s Day dinner menu for couples looking for a special night. The choices for the entreé are a filet medallion or two lobster tails. Dessert will be a butter cake.

Moxie’s Kitchen + Cocktails also has a special Valentine’s Day Menu. The choices for the entreé are seared local fish, gnocchi, blue fin crab cake, seared scallops, and a vegetarian option listed on the special menu. Dessert will be a red velvet butter cake.

Maggiano’s Little Italy is hosting two seatings of a Sweetheart Dinner Wednesday evening. The first seating is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The second seating is from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets to the seatings are $65 and can be bought through Eventbrite. The first course is stuffed mushrooms and bruschetta. The second course is individually plated caesar salad. The third course selections include chicken francese, filet mignon, grilled atlantic salmon, and eggplant parmesan. Dinner is served with sauteed seasonal vegetables and truffle mac and cheese and freshly baked ciabatta rolls. The fourth course is a sweets table that includes all of Maggiano’s most famous desserts. Dinner is served with a glass of wine.

Applebee’s is having an entire Valentine’s Week from Feb. 12 to Feb. 16 where a bottle of wine is half off regular price.
