On Monday afternoon, Students for a Democratic Society revealed a banner in Alumni Square displaying victim names of police brutality.

The banner was put up to help raise awareness of a Black Lives Matter rally happening on the Green on Wednesday, Sept. 26. Sharif Hall, the vice president of SDS, said that the banner helps get their message across, saying they “want some justice and people should stand in solidarity for those who were murdered by police officers.”

This isn’t the first time SDS has done a “banner drop,” according to Hall. Last year, they dropped a banner that had resources for students for the shooting in Broward County.
