MACON, Ga – The No. 6 seeded UNF men’s basketball team leads the No. 2 seeded East Tennessee State, 31-27, at halftime of the Ospreys’ first ever Atlantic Sun semifinal appearance.
UNF got off to a quick start, led by sophomore guard Jerron Granberry, who hit two 3-pointers in the first four minutes of play. The Ospreys grabbed their first lead of the game, 7-5, after Granberry sank his second from behind the arch with 16:20 left to play in the half. Granberry has six first half points.
UNF led by as many as nine points in the first. However, the Buccaneers scored seven of the first half’s last nine points to cut the Osprey lead to four heading into the break.
The Ospreys are led by sophomore guard Parker Smith who has eight first half points, while the Atlantic Sun Player of the Year, senior guard Mike Smith, leads the Buccaneers with 12.
