Former JSO undersheriff takes on UNFPD chief position

Francis "Frank" Mackesy, UNF alumni and former JSO undersheriff, takes on the offer to become the new chief of the University of North Florida Police Department. If the transition runs smoothly, the university could see Mackesy as police chief as early as Oct. 27.
