With a victory over Jacksonville University in part two of the River City Rumble on Feb. 23, Osprey men’s basketball secured a place as a host in the ASUN quarterfinals.
UNF will face JU again on Monday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. in the UNF Arena to kick off the ASUN Conference Tournament.
Before Feb. 23’s victory, it looked like the Ospreys would not be in the top four seed, but they earned a spot with a 73-69 win against JU.
UNF is currently guaranteed to host a quarterfinal game, and could host multiple rounds moving forward, based on the outcome of each round. The tournament schedule is as follows:
- Quarterfinals: Monday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m.
- Semifinals: Thursday, Mar. 2 at 7 p.m.
- Championship: Sunday, Mar. 5 at 3 p.m.
While students typically get free entry to UNF basketball games with their student ID, ASUN tournament games are not free to students. In the past, the university has purchased a number of tickets for UNF students to attend tournament games for free, but it is unclear whether or not SG will do that this year.
Tickets can be purchased here for the Feb. 27 game.
