The following information is according to a UNFPD report.
An officer was dispatched to UNF Police Department Building 14 on Feb. 11 to meet with a student victim regarding a sexual assault investigation.
The victim, 20, said she was assaulted by another student.
The victim said she went to a party with friends on Aug. 30, 2013 around 11 p.m. It was the same party [name redacted] had attended.
The victim said she drank a few beers at the party. The victim left the party with the male suspect sometime past midnight, and attended another party with the suspect, according to the report.
The suspect and victim left the party with another unknown male because they were told to leave.
The next thing the victim remembered was waking up in her dorm around 11 a.m. the next morning, wearing the suspect’s clothes.
The victim noticed there were two used condoms in the trash can in her room.
On Aug. 31, the suspect showed up at the victim’s room asking for his wallet.
The victim asked the suspect what happened the night before, and the suspect said they “[redacted]”.
The victim said she didn’t remember anything after leaving the second party and knows she wouldn’t have consented to having sex with the suspect.
The victim was offered Victims’ Advocate services, but she refused and said she would contact them the next day.
The victim was given a Victim/Witness Services Guide and instructions on how to contact the Victims’ Advocates Office.
This case is ongoing.
