Despite playing a determined game against Lafayette College on Friday Aug. 29, the Ospreys fell to the Leopards after a goal early on in the second half, according to Coach Robin Confer.
A noisy crowd cheered on the Ospreys for their first home game of the season. The girls played with passion according to Junior Midfielder Amanda Fischler, but they came up short on the win.
Although UNF had skilled ball control and opportunities for goals, Lafayette’s offensive star Alyssa Finelli scored the game winning goal in the second half. Despite leading most of the game in attacking shots, the Ospreys were unable to take the lead and had to settle for a 0-1 loss against the Leopards.
The team looks forward to their next games during the rest of the season.
