On Jan. 20 Marcelle Polednik, Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Jacksonville, announced that Preston Haskell has donated $5 million of unrestricted funds to the museum. This is the largest gift in the history of the museum. Haskell, founder and chairman of The Haskell Company, said his gift will be the first step in achieving the goal of a right sized endowment for the museum. The establishment of such an endowment will help to ensure that MOCA is a resource that future generations can continue to enjoy.
