Campus Life – Intro to Organic Gardening

WHEN: 10 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

WHERE: Frederick & Ophelia Tate Ogier Garden

WHAT: Have you every wondered what it might be like to grow your own food? This workshop will cover topics including garden planning, site selection, soil preparation, planting, fertilization and pest management techniques.

Art – Shuttle to Downtown Oktoberfest Artwalk

SPONSOR: Office of Campus Life

WHEN: 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.

WHERE: Student Union

WHAT: A free shuttle leaving from the Student Union will transport students from campus to MOCA downtown for Artwalk’s Oktoberfest. At 9:30, the shuttle will pick students up from MOCA to bring them back to campus. Students must bring their Osprey 1Card and pre-register online to ride the shuttle. To register online, click here.

Music – Big Sean and Asher Roth Live at the Coxwell Amphitheater 

SPONSOR: Osprey Productions

WHEN: 7 – 9 p.m.

WHERE: Coxwell Amphitheater

WHAT: Rappers Big Sean and Asher Roth will perform live at the Coxwell Amphitheater, where admission is free for students. Non-students can purchase tickets for $15 at the UNF ticket box office (Building 8, Room 100). Concessions and beer will be available for cash-only purchase.

Music– 11th Annual Upbeat Pink: A Musical Tribute to Breast Cancer Survivorship – The Wild West Through TV and Movies

SPONSOR: Department of Music

WHEN: 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: Fine Arts Center – Building 45, Lazzara Performance Hall

WHAT: The UNF Wind Symphony will preform songs that reflect “The Wild West through TV and Movies,” which will be conducted by UNF music professor Dr. Gordon Brock. Guest speakers include Dr. Stephanie Hines M.D. and breast cancer survivor Patricia Dunbar-Norris.
