A bill (SB 68) that would allow concealed weapons on college campuses passed Tuesday, Oct. 20 by the Senate Higher Education committee.
Florida senator Greg Evers, who is the bill’s sponsor, confirmed with Spinnaker that the bill passed earlier this morning with a final vote of 5-3.
SB 68 would allow those with a statewide permit to carry their firearms on public college campuses.
The bill now has to pass through two more senate committees before regular session begins in January.
