Student residents were evacuated from Osprey Fountains on Dec. 1 after a non-drill fire alarm rung at around 12 a.m.
Residents reported that a pot left on a burner caught fire in House 13, causing the entire residence hall to be evacuated.
The university police department responded to the scene, followed by Jacksonville Fire Rescue. It took about an hour for officials to clear out the smoke and let people back inside.
